
A criminal group involved in baby trafficking was exposed in Almaty, Kazakhstan. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
According to official information from the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Kazakhstan, reported by Polisia.kz, during rapid operations conducted in various regions of the country, a group that exploited the difficult circumstances of young mothers and urged them to sell their newborn babies was dismantled.
Members of this criminal group deceived young women, promising them financial assistance and forcing them to give up their children. Currently, the group members have been detained, and investigations are underway on more than 20 criminal cases against them.
Additionally, within the framework of the "STOP-trafficking" preventive measures, other criminal groups organizing prostitution have also been identified in the cities of Astana, Almaty, and Shymkent. These individuals recruited young girls to work in nightclubs and bars, engaging in illegal activities.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs has stated that the fight against crime continues in the regions of Shymkent, Aktobe, Zhambyl, West Kazakhstan, Karaganda, and Kostanay. Special attention is being paid to protecting young people from crimes and strengthening moral values in society during these operations.
