As part of the US's new peace plan, the deployment of international forces to the Gaza Strip is planned. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
According to US officials, this process is expected to take place early next year. The main task of the international forces will be to maintain peace and ensure stability in the region.
At the same time, the issue of disarming Hamas has not yet been clearly resolved. These forces will not engage in direct combat with Hamas.
Several countries have expressed their readiness to participate in this mission. Currently, US officials are discussing the composition, number, deployment, and preparedness of the international forces.
An American general candidate is being considered to lead them, but no final decision has been made yet. In the first phase, on October 10, a fragile peace was established.
According to this agreement, Hamas released hostages, and Israel freed detained Palestinians. According to the plan, international forces will be stationed in Israeli-controlled territories, and the Gaza area will be gradually cleared of weapons.
Indonesia announced its readiness to send 20,000 of its soldiers to the Gaza area for healthcare and construction work. The UN Security Council approved the initiative to establish international forces and disarm Gaza.
However, Hamas has not yet discussed the issue of surrendering weapons and stated that it will consider this matter only after the establishment of a Palestinian state.
