A giant 21-meter tall statue dedicated to the world football star Lionel Messi has been erected in Kolkata, India. This was reported by Zamin.uz.

Messi, the captain of the Argentina national team and forward for the US club "Inter Miami," expressed his reaction to this event. Messi emphasized that he is pleased with the attention from the people of Kolkata and called this high honor a great privilege.

According to him, the people of Kolkata not only constantly support him but also the Argentina national team. "These are wonderful feelings," said Messi.

It is reported that the height of the statue is 21 meters. This structure represents the football star's glory and the sincere respect of his fans.

Additionally, it is noted that Messi has been playing for the "Inter Miami" club since the summer of 2023. The 38-year-old footballer's contract with this club is valid until the end of December 2025.

During this period, Messi plays as the club's main star on the field, demonstrating his skills.
