Canadians are traveling to countries other than the USA

This situation has caused nearly 4 billion dollars in damage to the US economy. Instead of going to the USA, Canadians are focusing on exploring their own country or traveling to other foreign countries.

According to data from the Canadian statistical agency, domestic travel increased significantly in 2025. Additionally, visits to countries such as Mexico, Portugal, the Bahamas, and Belize have also increased.

Air Canada is organizing additional flights to Europe, the Caribbean, Central, and South America. Through these new routes, Canadians have easier opportunities to travel to other countries without passing through the USA.

This helps diversify tourism and develop the tourism sector in other countries. Regions in the USA that earn income from Canadian tourists are noticing this change.
