Shooting in the USA: Uzbek student killed
A shooting that took place on the campus of the prestigious Brown University in the state of Rhode Island, USA, resulted in tragic consequences. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
As a result of this incident, Uzbek citizen and first-year university student Muhammadaziz Umurzoqov was killed. According to American media outlets, including CNN, the shooting was carried out by 24-year-old Benjamin Erikson.
He is a former military serviceman who previously served in the US Army. The suspect was promptly arrested by law enforcement agencies.
The exact reasons for the attack have not been officially disclosed yet, and the investigation is ongoing. Two people died as a result of the tragedy, and nine students sustained various injuries and were hospitalized.
