He noted that strict control and prompt actions are crucial in this process. Donald Trump introduced new import tariffs on products coming from several countries without Congress's approval.

The main goal of these measures was to protect the economic interests of the United States. Specifically, special tariffs were imposed on products imported from Canada, China, and Mexico.

Trump criticized these countries for failing to stop the illegal flow of narcotics, particularly fentanyl, into the US. The White House leader emphasized several times that the US earns more than $2 billion daily from customs tariffs.

At the same time, the Supreme Court is currently reviewing the legality of the new tariffs.
