
From January to October 2025, 237.1 thousand citizens of Uzbekistan visited Saudi Arabia. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
According to the data from the National Statistics Committee, this figure increased by 68 percent compared to last year. The main purpose of trips by Uzbeks to Saudi Arabia was pilgrimage and tourism, with 197.9 thousand people visiting for these reasons.
Additionally, 38.2 thousand citizens traveled to visit their relatives. Furthermore, 924 people went for medical treatment, 66 for business trips, and 31 for educational purposes to Saudi Arabia.
According to the decision of the Saudi Arabian government, starting next year, a mandatory medical examination will be introduced for citizens going on the Hajj pilgrimage. Entry to the kingdom will not be possible without this medical certificate.
It is also established that pilgrims suffering from severe chronic diseases such as heart, kidney, lung, and liver conditions, severe mental illnesses, dementia, and ongoing oncological diseases will not be allowed to perform the Hajj.
