Two students killed in shooting at Brown University
Investigation is ongoing regarding the shooting that occurred at Brown University in the United States. This was reported by Zamin.uz.

According to the Reuters news agency, Uzbek citizen Muhammadaziz Umurzakov and American Ella Cook were killed in this incident. The perpetrator of the crime has not yet been identified.

Officials stated at a press conference that identifying the attacker is currently impossible. To expedite the investigation, the police released video recordings captured by surveillance cameras.

Peter Neronxi, the Attorney General of Rhode Island, emphasized that the person shown in the video is considered to have carried out the shooting, but the reasons behind their actions are still unknown. As a result of the incident, two students lost their lives, and eight others were injured.

Seven of the injured are being treated in hospital, with one reported to be in serious condition. The fact that the attacker has not yet been apprehended is causing concern among the public.

The Brown University administration has strengthened security measures following the incident. Access to campus buildings has been temporarily restricted, and additional security posts have been established.

The safety of students and staff has been designated as a top priority. The shooting took place on December 14 in the university's engineering faculty building.

According to police information, the attacker entered the building, which was left open during ongoing exams, and fired shots inside the lecture hall with a 9mm caliber pistol. Afterward, the suspect fled the scene.

Currently, investigative authorities are taking all measures to identify and apprehend the criminal. The university community expresses condolences to the families of the deceased students and hopes that justice will be served.
