Uzbek citizens in Egypt reminded to comply with laws and regulations
An important warning has been issued by the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Cairo to Uzbek citizens currently in Egypt. This was reported by Zamin.uz.

Due to an increase in appeals related to the detention of our compatriots by local law enforcement agencies in recent days, the embassy has released an official statement. The statement urges citizens to strictly comply with local laws and regulations.

It has been reported that inspections regarding compliance with migration legislation and public order have been intensified in Cairo and other major cities of Egypt. Strict measures are being taken against foreign nationals who are staying in the country illegally, without a visa or residence permit, as well as those who violate public order.

Among these measures is the practice of deportation. The embassy has stated that it is conducting negotiations with Egyptian law enforcement agencies.

At the same time, Uzbek citizens are advised to be cautious and approach the laws responsibly. In particular, citizens are strongly recommended to always carry identification documents — passports, to formalize visas or residence permits, not to engage in unauthorized employment, and to timely renew the validity of their documents.

The embassy emphasizes that by following these rules, fines, deportation, and other unpleasant situations can be avoided. Citizens must be responsible in adhering to laws and regulations.
