Putin: Russia is ready to end the war through negotiations
On December 19, the annual press conference of Russian President Vladimir Putin was held in Moscow. This was reported by Zamin.uz.

The meeting lasted four and a half hours, during which the head of state answered various questions from journalists and citizens. The main topic was the situation in Ukraine and the ongoing war processes.

In his speech, Putin emphasized that Russia is not responsible for the conflict in Ukraine. He linked the cause of the conflict to an armed coup against the constitution in Ukraine.

Furthermore, although Russia expressed readiness to end the war through negotiations, he noted that the initiative in this regard lies with Kyiv and its European allies. The President recalled military successes in the Kursk direction, stating that the enemy has retreated and the Russian army holds a strategic advantage.

In some areas, troops are moving quickly, while in others they are proceeding cautiously. At the same time, Putin highlighted the capture of the Seversk region as an important step, which creates an opportunity to advance towards Sloviansk.

It was also mentioned that the city of Krasnyi Lyman has almost completely come under Russian control. Speaking about the situation in Kupiansk, Putin announced that the city is under Russian control and that 3,500 soldiers are surrounded there.

They have not been ordered to surrender their weapons and their ability to resist is limited. When discussing the losses of the Ukrainian army, Putin stated that the opponent has been deprived of strategic reserves and that this situation should encourage Kyiv to negotiate.

Overall, this press conference provided clear information about Russia's position in the war and the situation on the front lines.
