On the evening of December 19, the Russian armed forces carried out another airstrike on the Odessa region. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
This attack was aimed at disabling the region's important transport and port infrastructure. Unfortunately, the attack resulted in casualties among the civilian population.
According to Oleg Kiper, head of the Odessa regional military administration, at least 7 people were killed and 15 others injured as a result of the ballistic missile strike. The strike hit an area of port infrastructure of strategic importance.
The missile impact caused a fire in a parking lot where heavy trucks were stored. Rescue services are working at the scene, but continuous air raid sirens are complicating their efforts.
On the same day, Russian forces also struck an important bridge on the M15 highway near the Mayaki settlement, connecting the cities of Odessa and Reni. The destruction of the bridge led to the suspension of transport traffic.
According to experts, if the bridge is completely out of service, the fuel supply process may be disrupted and gasoline prices could rise. The Odessa region has been subjected to continuous attacks for several days.
Strikes on the energy system caused power and water supply outages in the city. The transport system is operating in a limited mode.
Ukraine's Deputy Prime Minister Aleksey Kuleba called on the international community not to remain indifferent to these attacks and to strengthen sanctions against Russia.
