US officials are scheduled to meet with the Russian delegation in Florida on Saturday to continue negotiations aimed at ending the war in Ukraine. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
This meeting was organized by the administration of former US President Donald Trump with the goal of reaching an agreement between the two sides. On Friday, US representatives also held talks with delegations from Ukraine and European countries.
It has been reported that some agreements regarding Ukraine's security were reached during the meetings, but Russia's stance on these issues has not yet been clarified. The Russian delegation is led by Kirill Dmitriev, a representative of President Vladimir Putin.
Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner, former President Trump's son-in-law, will participate in the negotiations on behalf of the US. Additionally, Senator Marco Rubio may also take part.
Russian President Vladimir Putin has not yet presented any new proposals in the negotiations. He emphasized that to stop the war, Ukraine must abandon its intention to join NATO and Russia must withdraw from the four regions it considers its own territory.
Ukraine, for its part, has firmly rejected the issue of relinquishing these territories.
