The Saudi Arabian government has deported 24 thousand Pakistani citizens who were engaged in illegal begging within the country. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
It has been revealed that these individuals entered the country through Umrah and other types of visas and later joined organized begging networks. Similar cases have been recorded in other countries as well.
For example, the United Arab Emirates (UAE) has returned 6 thousand, and Azerbaijan about 2.5 thousand Pakistanis due to illegal activities. It is emphasized that this problem is becoming a serious issue on an international scale.
According to Pakistani officials, begging is not a personal problem of some individuals but has become a systematic activity controlled by criminal groups. Through these networks, people are sent abroad and used as a source of illegal income.
The Pakistani government has acknowledged that this situation negatively affects the country's international reputation. Therefore, it is emphasized that strict measures are necessary to eliminate such cases.
