Russia launched large-scale air attacks on Ukraine. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
As a result of these attacks, the country's energy system suffered serious damage. According to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, more than 600 drones and over 30 missiles were used during the attacks.
The main targets of the strikes were power plants and critical infrastructure facilities. The energy system operator "Ukrenergo" announced that mandatory power outages have been introduced in several regions.
Power supply interruptions are negatively affecting the daily lives of millions of residents. Repair work is planned to begin once safety conditions improve.
The attacks carried out in cold weather conditions are making the situation even more difficult. In some areas, temperatures are expected to drop below zero, increasing the demand for heating and electricity.
The Ukrainian government advised the population to use electricity sparingly. Officials emphasized that restoring the energy system is a top priority, and all resources are being mobilized to achieve this goal.
