According to Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz, for security reasons, Israeli forces will not completely withdraw from the Gaza Strip. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
According to the minister, special units consisting of civilians and military personnel are planned to be established in this area. Katz recalled the attack carried out by HAMAS on October 7, 2023, and stated that the issue of fully leaving Gaza is not on the agenda after this event.
In his opinion, Israeli forces will remain in the area to ensure security and prevent similar attacks in the future. The Defense Minister also provided information about the formation of special units called Nahal.
Their task will be to prepare civilians for military service and organize activities on a voluntary basis. These units may be deployed in previously evacuated areas.
Additionally, Katz participated in an event held in the West Bank, where he announced the commencement of a project to build 1,200 housing units. He emphasized that the government is paying great attention to territorial policy and sovereignty issues and announced that clear steps will be taken in this regard in the future.
