7 days imprisonment for a comment on social media

According to the press service of the Traffic Safety Department of the Andijan Region Internal Affairs Directorate, a resident of Paxtaobod district left a negative comment under a video prepared by the officers on social media. This was reported by Zamin.uz.

It was found that inappropriate words were used against law enforcement officers in this comment. An appropriate investigation was conducted regarding this incident, and the identity of the citizen was established.

An administrative report was drawn up under the "Petty hooliganism" article of the Code of Administrative Liability of the Republic of Uzbekistan, and the case was sent to the Paxtaobod district criminal court. The court reviewed the case, found the citizen guilty, and sentenced him to 7 days of administrative detention.
