
As a result of increased security measures before the New Year celebrations in Turkey, 115 people were arrested during special operations conducted in Istanbul. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
They are suspected of planning attacks during the New Year holidays. According to official information, special inspections were carried out at 124 locations across the city.
Weapons, ammunition, and documents related to planning attacks were found during these operations. Currently, efforts continue to identify and arrest several other suspects.
Investigations revealed that these individuals had connections with radical groups abroad. It was reported that the planned attacks targeted peaceful civilians, including New Year events.
Turkish officials emphasized that security matters are always a priority. It was stated that all necessary measures are being taken to ensure the safety of citizens during the holiday period.
Security forces are continuously active to maintain peace and order.
