The US conducted airstrikes against terrorists in Nigeria

At the request of the Nigerian government, the US carried out an airstrike against the "Islamic State" terrorist group in Sokoto State, located in the northwest of the country. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
This operation was conducted within the framework of cooperation between US military forces and Nigerian security forces. According to information provided by the US military, the strike was carried out based on precise intelligence data, resulting in the elimination of several terrorists.
The Pentagon emphasized that ensuring the safety of civilians was the top priority during the operation. The Nigerian Ministry of Foreign Affairs regarded this military operation as an important part of security cooperation between the two countries.
Government representatives stated that the exchange of intelligence information is of great importance in taking effective measures against terrorism. The Nigerian government noted that violence is negatively affecting various religious groups in the country and stressed that ensuring the safety and religious freedom of all citizens is a priority.
