Fighting around Gulyaypole remains intense
Fighting around the city of Gulyaypole, located in the Zaporizhzhia region, remains intense. This was reported by Zamin.uz.

According to the "South" group of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, although part of the city territory has come under Russian forces' control, the battles continue. Ukrainian military personnel describe the situation as "very complicated."

Russian troops are intensifying their attacks and trying to strengthen their positions in the occupied areas. They are actively using kamikaze drones, artillery, unguided rockets, and aerial bombs.

According to the Ukrainian army, within the last 24 hours, Russian forces have launched nearly 20 attacks in the Gulyaypole area. Gunfire and close-range fighting are observed in the city streets.

Nevertheless, a significant part of the city territory remains under the control of Ukrainian defense forces. According to information provided by the Ukrainian army, on December 28, the Russian side lost more than 300 personnel and about 60 pieces of equipment.

This indicates how fierce the fighting is. At the same time, a difficult situation persists around the city of Stepnogorsk in the Zaporizhzhia region.

Russian troops are attempting to enter the city through the main road in this area, but a significant part of the settlement remains under Ukrainian defense. The Ukrainian military leadership criticized statements made by the Russian leadership regarding Gulyaypole and Stepnogorsk.

They assessed these claims as far from the truth. Additionally, information disseminated by Russia about Mirnoxrad and Konstantinovka in the Donetsk region was also found to be unfounded.

The defense of Pokrovsk, which has been ongoing for 17 months, was emphasized, noting that Russian troops are suffering heavy losses there. In conclusion, the battles in and around Gulyaypole continue not only on the ground but also in the information space.

The discrepancy between the actual reality and official statements indicates that the clashes in this area will continue for a long time.
