
An official statement was issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs regarding the incident that occurred in the city of Khabarovsk, Russia. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
This was also reported by upl.uz. It has been revealed that on December 12, 2025, reports circulated on social media about an Uzbek citizen being beaten by OMON officers in the city of Khabarovsk.
According to these reports, during the raid, a group of compatriots were brutally beaten, two people fell into a coma, and one of them died. According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Uzbek Consulate General has been in constant contact with the deceased’s relatives.
They are being provided with necessary consular assistance, and efforts are underway to repatriate the body to Uzbekistan. Regarding the incident, the Consulate General has contacted the Khabarovsk regional prosecutor’s office, the investigation department, and the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs’ representative office in Khabarovsk.
These organizations have been requested to investigate the situation impartially and legally. So far, the exact causes of the citizen’s death have not been officially confirmed.
It was emphasized that the public will be informed as additional information is received from the authorized agencies. Also, the information about the second citizen mentioned on social media has not yet been confirmed.
