Artificial intelligence will be introduced in Kazakhstan schools

The government of Kazakhstan plans to widely implement artificial intelligence technologies in the education system starting from the 2026–2027 academic year. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
Local information sources, including the Tengrinews.kz publication, report on this. It is emphasized that work has begun on creating a national system of digital profiles and a National Education Platform in the country.
According to the Ministry of Education, the National Education Database will be modernized. As a result, electronic diaries, journals, and other education management systems will be integrated into a single data repository.
These innovations will play an important role in reducing the daily workload of teachers. Artificial intelligence technologies will assist in simplifying the processes of pedagogical councils and document preparation.
Starting from the 2026–2027 academic year, the "Qazaq Digital Mektebi" project will be implemented for primary schools. Within this project, tutors operating based on artificial intelligence will be introduced.
Additionally, by 2026, more than 200,000 teachers are expected to acquire practical skills in the field of artificial intelligence. The government is also paying special attention to increasing knowledge and literacy in artificial intelligence among students.
It is worth noting that 2026 has been declared the "Year of Digitalization and Artificial Intelligence" in Kazakhstan. This will open wide opportunities for technological advancement in the education system.
