In 2025, the flow of air passengers increased by 5.7%

In November 2025, the flow of air passengers worldwide increased by 5.7 percent. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
This information was reported based on data from the International Air Transport Association (IATA). According to IATA data, the occupancy rate of airplane seats reached a record level of 83.7 percent.
The growth in passenger flow was mainly due to international flights. While the volume of international flights expanded by 7.7 percent, domestic flights saw an increase of 2.7 percent.
The highest growth rate in passenger demand was observed in Africa. Brazil and India led the domestic markets, recording growth of 9 percent and 8 percent respectively.
In the US domestic flights, a decrease of around 1–2 percent was observed. Positive changes were also noted in the cargo transportation sector.
Global cargo transportation demand increased by 5.5 percent, and international cargo transportation volume rose by 6.9 percent. The highest growth was recorded by African airlines (15.6 percent) and in the Asia-Pacific region (10.3 percent).
However, a decline in demand was observed in North America (-1.6 percent) and Latin America (-4.8 percent).
