Egyptian company is exploring sugar production in Uzbekistan

A delegation from Orascom Investment (Nile Sugar), one of Egypt's major investment companies, visited Uzbekistan on a business trip. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
During the visit, company representatives visited leading soft drink manufacturing enterprises in our country, closely familiarizing themselves with their production capacities, raw material needs, and technological processes. This was reported by UzDaily.uz.
During the meetings, the parties discussed expanding sugar production in Uzbekistan, ensuring the domestic market with quality and stable supply, as well as increasing the share of local raw materials in finished product manufacturing. The Egyptian side expressed interest in directly purchasing Uzbek sugar.
This could be especially important for use in the soft drink production sector. This cooperation model serves to continuously supply large enterprises with affordable and quality sugar, as well as to create a stable market for the local sugar industry.
Additionally, it helps reduce import volumes, expand the value-added chain, and develop the food industry. This approach aligns with the policy of attracting foreign investments and further deepening industrial integration.
