Uzbekistan and Turkey expand cooperation in the field of education

On January 21, in Ankara, Munira Aminova, Advisor to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan, held a meeting with Abdulhadi Turus, Head of the Directorate for Turks Abroad and Related Communities (YTB) of Turkey. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
During the meeting, the parties analyzed the current state of cooperation in the field of education and cultural exchange and discussed new initiatives aimed at expanding it. Special attention was given to the results of the YTB scholarship programs.
It was noted that in 2025, 228 citizens of Uzbekistan were admitted under these programs, with 136 students currently continuing their studies. More than 3,200 graduates have successfully completed their education through YTB programs.
To strengthen communication with them, a special portal has been established. The meeting also discussed the “Cultural Turk” encyclopedia, the Zangturon initiative, training programs in the field of jewelry making, and emergency medical assistance.
Additionally, new projects were proposed related to information technology and cybersecurity, training for young diplomats, and the development of the pharmaceutical industry. In conclusion, the parties expressed their readiness to further strengthen cooperation in education and professional development.
They emphasized the importance of joint efforts in training highly qualified personnel and expanding professional exchanges.
