Official statement on Uzbeks convicted in Dubai
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan has issued an official statement regarding the reports circulating in mass media and social networks about Uzbeks convicted in Dubai. This was reported by Zamin.uz.

The "Uzdaily" publication reported on this matter. According to the Ministry's information, the incident occurred in April 2025.

It involved a mass brawl with the participation of eight Uzbek citizens. As a result of this incident, the Dubai court sentenced all eight participants in the brawl to life imprisonment on January 21, 2026.

Additionally, another Uzbek citizen was sentenced to 25 years of imprisonment. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated that, together with Uzbekistan's diplomatic missions and relevant agencies, it is taking necessary measures to thoroughly investigate the case and protect the rights of the convicted citizens.
