The first death caused by the Nipah virus in India
The first death related to the dangerous Nipah virus has been confirmed in India. This was reported by Zamin.uz.

According to the information, a woman living in Kolkata fell ill, was hospitalized, but despite all the efforts of the doctors, she passed away. Following this incident, emergency measures are being taken in the country to prevent the spread of the virus.

Specifically, hundreds of citizens have been quarantined, medical supervision has been intensified, and individuals who may have been in contact with the virus are being thoroughly examined. Additionally, precautionary measures are being taken outside of India as well.

For example, the Thai government is conducting strict sanitary control of passengers arriving from India at airports. Passengers are being checked for symptoms characteristic of the virus and, if necessary, placed under medical observation.

Experts emphasize that the Nipah virus poses a serious threat. Therefore, all citizens must strictly adhere to personal hygiene rules, avoid unnecessary contact with people, and seek medical help when needed.

Authorities continue to implement additional measures to control the situation.
