An elephant attacked their rented car. This incident sparked widespread discussion on social media, raising concerns about tourist safety once again.
It turned out that the Russian family was traveling with their child and friends to one of the national parks in Sri Lanka. At one point on the road, they came across a large Sri Lankan elephant.
The animal appeared in the middle of the road, stopping the car's movement. According to local residents, elephants usually stop cars to get sweets or fruit from tourists.
After receiving sweets, they let the cars pass. One of the Russian women gave fruit to the elephant, but the animal unexpectedly began to act aggressively.
It shook the car, tore off the door, and even tried to overturn the vehicle. Panicked tourists got out of the car and quickly tried to move away from the dangerous area.
After a few minutes, the elephant calmed down, and the tourists were able to continue their journey. No one was injured as a result of the incident.
On their way back, they took the torn-off door with them. This event became an unforgettable memory for them.
