Bus accident in Antalya: 9 people died

On February 1, at around 10:30 local time, a serious road traffic accident occurred near the city of Antalya. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
According to initial information, a passenger bus belonging to Buzlu Tourism lost control while turning, hit roadside barriers, and overturned into a ditch. As a result of the incident, 8 people died at the scene, and 26 others sustained various injuries.
The injured were immediately taken to nearby hospitals and received necessary medical assistance. Unfortunately, some passengers were trapped inside the bus.
During the rescue operations, firefighters and emergency service personnel actively participated among them. Officials who arrived at the scene, including Hulusi Sahin, emphasized that the wet road surface due to rain and fog might have contributed to the accident.
He stated that the causes of the incident will be determined after a thorough investigation. Later, it was reported that the driver died in the hospital, bringing the death toll to 9.
Currently, an official investigation into the incident is underway. Experts strongly recommend being cautious on the road, not exceeding speed limits, and always wearing seat belts.
