Norwegian royal family conflict in public attention
The conflict involving the Norwegian royal family is once again in the spotlight. This was reported by Zamin.uz.

The eldest son of Crown Princess Mette-Marit, Marius Borg Høiby, was arrested again before the court proceedings began. Oslo police announced that he has been charged with "causing bodily harm," "threatening with a knife," and violating a court-imposed restraining order.

According to police officials, there is a risk that Høiby may repeat the offenses. For this reason, a formal request to keep him in custody is planned to be submitted to the court.

No additional details about the case, including the identities of the victims, have been disclosed. The trial is expected to begin in Oslo on February 3 and is planned to last several weeks.

The list of charges consists of 38 counts, including four instances of rape, domestic violence, threats, and drug-related offenses. Høiby has denied the rape charges in court, but there are reports that he has partially admitted guilt on some other counts.

If found guilty, he could face up to 10 years in prison for certain episodes. This case is causing significant public uproar.

Although Høiby is close to the royal family, he does not hold the title of "prince" and is not considered an official member of the royal household. Nevertheless, this conflict is seriously affecting the reputation of the royal family.

The outcome of the trial will be determined by the proof of the charges and the evidence presented by both sides. For now, new suspicions and accusations have further complicated the case.
