Panch, who was left alone, was shown kindness

A video that simultaneously breaks the human heart and inspires hope is widely circulating on social media. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
The video depicts the life of a small macaque monkey named Panch. After Panch was born, his mother abandoned him.
This incident took place at a zoo in Itikawa city, Japan. Initially, the zoo staff cared for Panch themselves, but later they placed him in an enclosure with other monkeys.
However, the group there did not immediately accept Panch. This was a difficult trial for the little macaque: a new environment, new rules, and a feeling of alienation.
The staff gifted Panch a soft orangutan-shaped toy produced by IKEA. Since then, Panch has never parted from this toy; he carries it with him and holds it close.
In one part of the video, an adult monkey is seen attacking Panch, dragging and assaulting him. Panch runs toward his toy and hugs it.
But in the following scenes, another adult monkey is shown protecting Panch, embracing him, and showing him affection. Also, one of the peer monkeys is seen playing with Panch and approaching him.
The zoo staff said that occasional aggression among macaques is normal for this species. According to them, moving Panch to another enclosure is not the right decision because macaques cannot live alone.
He needs to gradually join the group. After the video spread widely, many people have been visiting the zoo to see Panch.
On social media, thousands of comments have been posted under the hashtag “Stay strong, Panch.” It was also reported that Petra Fare, president of IKEA’s Japan division, visited the zoo and gifted Panch soft toys.
It is hard to say that Panch’s life has suddenly changed, but one thing is clear: he is not alone. There are people helping him, and within the group, there are those showing him affection.
Most importantly, Panch is slowly learning to trust.
