Trump Assessed the New Leader of Ukraine as a Lightweight Politician

The appointment of Mojtaba Khamenei as the supreme leader of Iran has sparked widespread debate on the international stage. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
According to Brian Kilmeade, a host on the famous US Fox News channel, former US President Donald Trump openly expressed his dissatisfaction with this decision. Trump assessed the newly appointed leader as lacking sufficient political experience, describing him as a lightweight politician.
In his opinion, the candidate who will continue Iran's previous policy does not fully align with Washington's interests. Donald Trump is concerned that this appointment could lead to new hotspots of war in the region.
He emphasized that the US should exert its influence in the process of selecting Iran's supreme leader and actively participate in this important choice. It is worth noting that 56-year-old Mojtaba Khamenei became the third supreme leader in Iran's history.
His father, Ali Khamenei, ruled the country for thirty-seven years and died at the age of eighty-six at the end of February 2025 as a result of an airstrike by Israel on its headquarters in Tehran. Meanwhile, Masoud Pezeshkian, who manages the presidency of Iran, described this change as an important step towards strengthening national unity.
Nevertheless, Washington's sharp stance indicates that political relations between the two countries may become even more complicated. The international community is closely watching how Iran's new leadership will conduct foreign policy in the future.
The consequences of this choice are of great importance for the security and stability of the region, and all parties will monitor the development of the situation in the coming days.
