Israel delivered strong airstrikes on Beirut causing many casualties
During reports of the expansion of military operations in Lebanon, the Israeli Defense Forces carried out strong airstrikes on the central parts, southern districts, and surroundings of Beirut on Thursday, March 12. This was reported by Zamin.uz.

According to international news agencies, the attacks included the building of the Lebanese University and the office of a financial organization affiliated with the Hezbollah movement. The Lebanese state news agency announced that a drone attack on the university area killed two employees.

The country's Ministry of Health confirmed that five people, including a child, were killed in the Aramoun neighborhood near southern Beirut. Additionally, 12 people died and 28 others were injured at Ramlet al-Bayda beach as a result of the morning attacks.

According to the society's assessment of the situation, 56 people were killed and 188 hospitalized during the attacks on March 12 in Lebanon. Since the conflicts began on March 2, the total death toll in the country has reached 687.

This number includes 98 children and 52 women. The number of injured is nearly eighteen hundred.

Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz recalled in his speeches the large attack Hezbollah carried out on the country a day earlier. He warned the Lebanese president and government that if they do not fully control their territory and cannot eliminate the threat to the northern Israeli population, Israeli forces may occupy those areas.

The leadership of the Israeli Defense Forces is preparing to conduct large-scale operations to restore security in the southern regions under the orders of the United Kingdom and Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. Military personnel called on the peaceful residents of southern Lebanese villages to leave their homes before combat operations against Hezbollah begin.

The Israeli army announced that during the March 12 attacks, it eliminated a commander of the Iranian Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps connected to Hezbollah and his deputy. Since the beginning of March, reports have circulated that over seven hundred militants have been killed in Lebanon.

Events in the region have continued since February 28. While the US and Israel conducted airstrikes against Iran, Iran responded by striking facilities in Israel and the Persian Gulf countries.

The Hezbollah movement joined the conflict on March 2, attacking Israel with rockets and drones. These events prompted Israeli forces to deliver strong blows to enemy infrastructure in southern Lebanon and the southern parts of Beirut.
