A rocket hit the US embassy in Baghdad

On Saturday, a rocket struck the US Embassy in Baghdad. Zamin.uz reported on this incident.
As a result, smoke rose in the heavily guarded area known as the Green Zone. According to security agencies, the rocket hit a helipad located within the embassy grounds.
The extent of the damage is currently being assessed. However, reports indicate that the facility's air defense system sustained partial damage during the incident.
This was reported by Aljazeera.com. The attack coincided with a period of heightened tensions in the region.
Recently, frequent clashes have occurred between US forces and Iran-backed armed groups. Prior to the attack, reports emerged of special operations conducted against the Iran-supported group "Kataib Hizbullah," resulting in the deaths of two members.
The US Embassy had recently issued a Level 4 security alert warning that American interests in Iraq could be targeted by Iran-backed groups. Official sources have not confirmed any casualties, and the US Embassy has yet to issue an official statement regarding the attack.
The Green Zone houses diplomatic missions and institutions of various countries and has been subjected to numerous rocket and drone attacks since the conflict began. Local observers believe these hostilities reflect the proxy war that has intensified in recent weeks between Washington and Tehran.
