Iranian official links US prisoners' safety to the political situation

Interview given by high-ranking Iranian official Abbas Araqchi to one of the US television channels has gained significant importance. Zamin.uz reported on this.
During this conversation, questions regarding the situation among American citizens held in Tehran and their safety were widely discussed. It was previously announced that four US nationals are currently being held in Evin Prison.
The host then moved on to the question of whether the prisoners' lives are safe or not. In response, Abbas Araqchi emphasized that their safety is entirely dependent on the political and military situation at that time.
According to him, if there is no attack by external forces and military hostilities do not begin, no danger can arise for the prisoners. The official clarified his point further, stating that if the United States and the State of Israel do not bomb Iranian prisons, these citizens will remain safe.
These words indicate the extraordinary situation currently prevailing in the region. It is known that Evin Prison, located in Iran's capital Tehran, is one of the most famous and strictly regulated detention facilities in the country.
Local and foreign citizens accused of various crimes are held there. It is said that the statement by the Iranian official has shed further light on the situation regarding this issue.
These words constitute information that demands serious attention from both the international community and the families of US citizens. The future development of the situation will be directly linked to relations between the two states and the state of peace in the region.
