Israel and the US targeted Iranian leaders

Reports have been confirmed that the commander of the “Basij,” General Gholamreza Soleimani, and the Secretary of Iran's Supreme National Security Council, Ali Larijani, have been eliminated by Israel. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
This event has attracted significant attention on the international stage. At the same time, a question arises: if the targeted strikes on the first day of the war did not yield the expected results, why is this tactic being used again?
There may be several objectives behind such targeted eliminations. Firstly, the aim is to create conditions for negotiations.
By sidelining the current hardline leaders and replacing them with more manageable figures, it is intended to change the political situation. This is considered important for altering the political landscape.
Secondly, by punishing the existing leadership, the goal is to strengthen open resistance against the US and Israel. This pressure serves to exert influence politically and militarily.
Thirdly, it is intended to change the informational and psychological environment. For example, these actions are carried out to eliminate the negative background that arose following rumors about Benjamin Netanyahu’s death.
In this way, these operations are aimed not only at military but also informational and psychological fronts to increase pressure. As a result, the strategy of targeted strikes is linked to more complex objectives and is not limited to military actions on the front lines.
These methods are used to change the political situation, weaken the opponent, and strengthen one’s own position. That is why this tactic is being repeated.
