Uzbek citizens killed and injured in an accident in Thailand

A road traffic accident on Phuket Island, one of Thailand's popular travel destinations, plunged a family into deep sorrow. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
As a result of this tragedy that occurred on March 18, an Uzbek citizen died, and several other compatriots sustained injuries of varying degrees. According to initial information, the minibus traveling to the Similan Islands was involved in an accident while moving along the road.
The driver made a mistake while controlling the vehicle, and the car hit an electric pole by the roadside. There were a total of 12 passengers on the bus.
The incident occurred around 04:00 local time. As a result of the tragedy, one Uzbek citizen died at the scene.
Additionally, four of our compatriots were injured and taken under medical supervision. Furthermore, eight Russian citizens who were in the vehicle were also injured.
Two of them are assessed to be in serious condition. All the injured were taken to nearby medical facilities.
Currently, Thai law enforcement agencies are conducting an investigation into the incident. According to preliminary assumptions, the minibus driver lost control because the truck moving ahead suddenly braked.
