Iran has strengths and weaknesses in the Middle East
Iran is considered one of the most influential and attention-grabbing countries in the Middle East region. This was reported by Zamin.uz.

However, the country's real capabilities depend on various factors compared to neighboring states, leading it to lead in some sectors while facing serious difficulties in others. New analyses and statistical data show that Iran has its strengths and weaknesses, which are of significant importance for its regional position.

Focusing on population size, Iran is recognized as one of the largest countries in the region. The country is home to over approximately 93 million people, a figure significantly higher than many neighboring states.

Although a large population is a strong resource, it does not always mean prosperity. On the contrary, per capita income indicators remain relatively low in Iran.

Economically, the country's gross domestic product is approximately 356 billion dollars. While this is a large number, it shows insufficiency when compared to economically strong countries like Saudi Arabia and Israel.

The gross domestic product per capita is slightly above 4000 dollars, indicating low production efficiency compared to small but wealthy countries. In the energy sector, Iran's position is quite strong, being one of the world leaders in oil reserves.

The country's total oil reserves are close to 208 billion barrels, with a daily extraction volume of around 4.5 million barrels. These figures make Iran the most important player after Saudi Arabia.

However, international sanctions seriously affect the country's economy, limiting oil exports and foreign investments. Regarding military potential, Iran has one of the largest armed forces in the region, with over 600,000 military personnel involved in ensuring the country's security.

Although this number is higher than the Saudi Arabian army, the situation is different in terms of the military budget. Iran spends more than approximately 7 billion dollars annually, which is considerably less compared to its competitors.

Israel, on the other hand, is known as an advanced country in technology and modern weaponry, holding superiority in military expenditures and innovations. In conclusion, Iran holds an important position in the region as a country with a large population, rich resources, and a large army, but it needs further development in economic efficiency and foreign relations.
