It is reported that Iran's leadership has agreed to begin talks with the United States.

According to information recently published by Israel's Ynet publication, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi said in a meeting with US Ambassador Steve Whitkoff that Iran's new supreme leader Mojtaba Khamenei has agreed to start dialogue with Washington. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
According to the report, if Tehran's demands are fully met, negotiations between the two countries could advance rapidly. So far, this statement has not been officially confirmed by Iran.
This situation is attracting significant attention in international politics. This claim reflects the conflicting public statements from both sides.
Earlier, US President Donald Trump announced that Washington had been in contact with an unnamed Iranian figure whom he described as respectable and dignified. He emphasized that the parties had reached a preliminary understanding on about fifteen points of a potential agreement to be signed in the future.
However, President Trump specifically noted that Mojtaba Khamenei did not participate in this conversation. Other sources mentioned Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Baqir Qalibaf as a possible dialogue representative.
Relying on Israeli sources, Axios reported that mediators are preparing a meeting in Islamabad that could involve high-ranking US officials. Nevertheless, Qalibaf denied any negotiations, calling these reports fake news aimed at manipulating financial and oil markets.
The Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson also rejected reports of direct talks with the United States since the end of February last year. They stated that Tehran has not yet responded to messages delivered through mediator countries.
These denials come at a time when hostility between Iran, the United States, and Israel is intensifying regional instability, leaving the question of whether any diplomatic channel is truly open unanswered. The political uncertainty poses a significant threat to peace and stability in the region.
