Zelensky Acknowledged the US Demand to Withdraw Troops from Donbas

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky acknowledged that during comprehensive discussions on US security guarantees, Washington is urging Kyiv to withdraw its armed forces from the Donbas region. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
According to his words in an interview with Reuters agency, the Washington side states that it is ready to take serious steps towards a full agreement only if this condition is met. This news is expected to further complicate the situation in the region and directly affect future diplomatic processes.
Zelensky expressed caution regarding the reported demand. He warned that withdrawing troops from Eastern Ukraine could pose serious threats not only to his country but also to the security of all Europe.
The president emphasized that the eastern territories remain an integral and most important part of Ukraine's national defense system. Therefore, they cannot be regarded as a secondary or disorderly issue.
Abandoning these territories could lead to significant strategic losses for the country. According to reports, this important topic was also widely discussed at the meeting between US and Ukrainian delegations held in Miami.
The idea of withdrawing Ukrainian armed forces from Donbas was previously mentioned as one of Russia's main demands. Currently, this issue has become especially sensitive and important for Kyiv.
It is noticeable that Washington is applying new approaches in cooperation with other countries. This situation may indicate significant changes in the US approach towards Ukraine.
While Kyiv expresses deep concern about potential consequences, Washington seems to be trying to combine military aid with diplomatic pressure in order to resolve the conflict peacefully. Future decisions will be crucial both economically and politically for the two countries.
Therefore, every step must be clear and well thought out.
