Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy informed the public today about new and stringent conditions put forward by Russia. This was reported by Zamin.uz.

Russian officials are demanding that Ukraine fully withdraw its military troops from the Donbas region within a two-month period during negotiations. A warning has been issued that if this deadline is not strictly met, new and harsher conditions may be announced in the future.

In his statement, Zelenskyy recalled Russia's words conveyed to US representatives. It was stated that a two-month deadline has been set for Donbas, during which Ukrainian troops must leave the region.

If this is not implemented, Russia is expected to take control of the area and subsequently present new demands. According to the President, Russian leaders are well aware that it is difficult for Ukraine to meet these demands under current circumstances.

The issue of Donbas has now become the main topic of discussion within negotiations involving a third party. Representatives of both sides had nearly reached an agreement on many other issues, but the Donbas issue remains unresolved.

At the same time, official negotiations have been temporarily suspended due to the escalation of the situation in the Middle East and conflicts between the United States and Iran. Special envoys of the President of the United States, Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner, are currently primarily occupied with resolving the crisis in the Middle East.

Although direct negotiations have been halted, Americans continue to maintain bilateral contacts with their Ukrainian and Russian counterparts without interruption. This preserves the possibility of resuming negotiations in the future and resolving issues through diplomatic channels.

The future development of the situation in Donbas will directly depend on the decisions made by Kyiv and Moscow within the next two months. The decision to withdraw troops or remain in the region will determine future scenarios of the war.
