Vladimir Putin declared a temporary ceasefire on the occasion of Easter

President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin has made a decision to declare a temporary ceasefire in the combat zone in honor of the Easter holiday. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
An official statement regarding this was issued by the Kremlin press service. According to this initiative, the ceasefire regime will take effect starting at 16:00 on April 11 and will continue until the evening of April 12.
The Russian armed forces have been given clear instructions to halt combat operations across all front lines during this period. The leadership of the Russian Ministry of Defense, specifically Andrey Belousov and Valery Gerasimov, has been tasked with ensuring and overseeing the unconditional implementation of this decision.
The Kremlin statement specifically emphasized that the Russian side has also called upon the Ukrainian leadership to support this humanitarian initiative and cease fire during the designated time. Nevertheless, the Russian military has been instructed to remain in a state of constant readiness to respond quickly and decisively in the event of potential provocations or violations of the agreement terms.
According to political scientists and military experts, such short-term ceasefires usually aim for humanitarian purposes and serve to temporarily ease tensions on the front line. Although such measures are not sufficient to establish global peace, some analysts view this as a window of opportunity, however small, for future negotiations between the parties.
So far, there has been no official response from the Ukrainian side regarding this initiative. The world community is closely monitoring the development of the situation and the extent to which the parties will adhere to the ceasefire regime.
The situation on the front and the actions of the parties in the coming hours will demonstrate how effective the ceasefire will be.
