King Norodom Sihamoni of Cambodia diagnosed with serious illness

King Norodom Sihamoni of Cambodia has been diagnosed with prostate cancer by doctors. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
The official announcement regarding this was made by the country's Ministry of Information. Currently, the seventy-two-year-old monarch is receiving medical treatment in Beijing, the capital of China.
Taking into account that the process of restoring the king's health will require more time, specialists have decided to extend his treatment period from one month to three months. In an address to his people, King Norodom Sihamoni announced that the illness was confirmed after thorough medical examinations.
The monarchy system in Cambodia is currently primarily symbolic, with main powers in the country's political administration having been held for many years by former Prime Minister Hun Sen and those around him. Therefore, this situation regarding the king's health is not expected to lead to drastic changes in state governance.
It is worth noting that Norodom Sihamoni worked in the world of art before ascending the throne. He is recognized internationally as a ballet master, choreographer, and diplomat.
He has been leading the country as the King of Cambodia since 2004. Currently, the king's treatment process is under control, and it is expected that he will recover quickly and return to his homeland.
