Football player killed in armed attack on Ghana football team bus

Twenty-year-old Dominik Frimpong, a member of the Ghanaian football club Berekum Chelsea, has tragically passed away. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
This horrific incident occurred while the team was returning from an away match against Samarteks as part of the twenty-ninth round of the Ghana Championship. The team suffered a defeat in that match.
According to official club representatives, the team bus was blocked during transit by a group of masked and armed unidentified individuals. The attackers opened fire on the bus.
When the driver realized the situation and attempted to turn the vehicle around and escape, the attack intensified. As a result, players and club staff were forced to exit the bus and run toward nearby bushes to save their lives.
Unfortunately, as a result of these riots and the armed attack, the young talented footballer Dominik Frimpong sustained severe injuries and died at the scene. Currently, local law enforcement agencies are conducting an investigation into this crime.
All measures are being taken to identify the perpetrators and hold them accountable. The Ghanaian football community and club management expressed their deepest condolences to the family and loved ones of the deceased.
