Trump deems Putin's participation in G20 summit beneficial

US President Donald Trump shared his thoughts on the G20 summit scheduled to take place in Miami in December 2026, as reported by Zamin.uz. He emphasized that he considers the participation of Russian President Vladimir Putin in the event to be beneficial.
At the same time, Trump noted that he does not have precise information regarding whether an official invitation has been sent to Moscow and that doubts remain about Putin's attendance. Previously, according to reports by The Washington Post, Donald Trump intends to invite the Russian leader to the summit.
Many analysts view this as a diplomatic move by the US administration aimed at easing international pressure on Russia. According to AFP, this initiative could serve to reduce the international isolation Russia has faced since 2022 due to the situation with Ukraine.
However, official Moscow stated that a final decision has not yet been reached. Russian Presidential Press Secretary Dmitry Peskov mentioned that no concrete decision regarding Putin's participation in the summit has been made.
Meanwhile, citing Deputy Foreign Minister Alexander Pankin, RIA Novosti reported that Moscow had received an invitation to participate at the highest level. The diplomat noted that since there is still considerable time before the summit, the current situation remains uncertain.
He added that given the rapidly changing nature of the international political climate, it would be premature to draw definitive conclusions. Additionally, Donald Trump announced that he has invited the leaders of Central Asian states, including the presidents of Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan, to attend this prestigious summit.
In conclusion, diplomatic activities surrounding the G20 summit have already intensified. Whether Vladimir Putin will travel to Miami or if this remains merely a political signal is still unknown.
Future developments will provide answers to all questions.
