Only One Person Has Purchased Trump's Million-Dollar Gold Card

Trampning bir million dollarlik oltin kartasini faqat bir kishi sotib oldi
The gold card program initiated by US President Donald Trump, with a minimum price set at one million dollars, has not yet yielded the expected results. This was reported by Zamin.uz.

According to information released by the Associated Press, only one foreign citizen has purchased this privileged document so far. This program grants foreigners the right to legally live and work in the United States and creates extensive opportunities for obtaining citizenship in the future.

The project was officially launched in December last year. US Secretary of Commerce Howard Lutnick announced that agreements totaling one billion three hundred million dollars are envisioned under this initiative.

However, the identity of the sole owner of the gold card is currently being kept secret from the public. Donald Trump proposed this idea in 2025, and initially, the card's price was planned to be five million dollars.

According to the head of state, such an initiative will serve to attract foreign investors and highly qualified specialists, as well as bring additional funds into the national treasury. The new regulations are expected to replace the investment program that has been in place for many years.

Under current rules, individuals who invest at least one million dollars in the US economy and create ten new jobs can obtain permanent residency. Although only one buyer has been confirmed so far, according to the Secretary, hundreds of applicants are waiting for their applications to be reviewed.

At a time when the US national debt has exceeded thirty-one trillion dollars and the budget deficit is increasing, such investment projects are of significant economic relevance. It is worth noting that 'golden visa' programs or residency-by-investment schemes are also successfully implemented in developed countries such as the UK, Spain, Greece, and Canada.

This method is considered an effective tool for attracting major investors to a country's economy.
