A person who set fire to a military facility was sentenced to 16 years in prison
In Russia, 27-year-old Aleksey Rojkov, who committed a dangerous crime, was sentenced to a strict punishment after investigation and trial processes. His actions were assessed as a threat to the country's security system. The Central District Military Court sentenced Rojkov to 16 years in prison.

According to the Russian Investigative Committee, on the night of March 11, 2022, Rojkov deliberately set fire to a military facility located in the city of Beryozovskiy in Sverdlovsk region. This act was intentional, and its aim was to strike at the state's military capabilities.

After this highly dangerous act, Rojkov made a public statement online, openly admitting his actions and disseminating false information that discredited the Russian Armed Forces.

Although Rojkov was hiding abroad at that time, his location was identified, and he was arrested and brought to Sverdlovsk region. The court found him guilty of committing a terrorist act, justifying terrorism online, and spreading false information.

According to the court's decision, Rojkov will spend the first 5 years in prison under strict conditions, and the remaining 11 years will be served in a high-security colony.

This case demonstrates that measures to ensure state security and protect military facilities have been increasingly strengthened in Russia in recent years. Officials reiterated that strict measures would be taken against such incidents.
