Only one person received a visa through the US Golden Card program

It has emerged that the Golden Card program introduced in the United States has not yielded the expected results and has failed to gain sufficient international popularity. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
According to information released by the Associated Press, only one individual has so far obtained the right to permanent residence and work in the US through this special visa category. This figure indicates that the actual effectiveness of the program is significantly lower than anticipated.
This information was provided directly by US Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick, contradicting previous official statements. Specifically, President Donald Trump had earlier claimed that a total of $1.3 billion worth of Golden Cards were sold within a few days and that interest in the program was exceptionally high.
However, current statistics and the Secretary's report suggest that these figures are far from the truth. Under the established procedure of the Golden Card program, individuals can obtain residency status in the country on an expedited basis by making a payment of one million dollars.
Meanwhile, large companies are required to pay two million dollars plus additional fees to bring their employees to the US and provide them with employment. Despite such high costs, the fact that only one person has actually utilized this opportunity raises various questions about the program's future.
Experts are currently analyzing why this project failed to attract investor attention.
