Russia attacked Ukraine with ballistic missiles and hundreds of drones

On the night of May 29, the Russian armed forces carried out large-scale air attacks targeting Ukrainian territories. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
According to official data provided by the Ukrainian Air Force, enemy strikes primarily targeted the northern, southern, and eastern regions of the country. It is reported that these attacks posed a serious threat to civilian residential areas and infrastructure facilities.
During the latest attack, an Iskander-M ballistic missile and a total of 232 unmanned aerial vehicles of various types were used. The attack employed not only combat drones but also special devices designed to distract air defense systems.
It was determined that these aircraft were launched from several of Russia's border regions and the territory of the annexed Crimean peninsula. As a result of the prompt actions of the Ukrainian Armed Forces' air defense units, 217 of the enemy's unmanned vehicles were neutralized in the sky.
Despite this, direct hits by ballistic missiles and drones were recorded in 14 regions of the country. Additionally, damage occurred in several settlements due to the fall of debris from shot-down drones.
Currently, relevant services are working to eliminate the consequences of the attack and determine the extent of the damage. Following the escalation of the situation, local government authorities are urging the population to strictly adhere to safety measures and use shelters when an air raid alert is announced.
This large-scale attack is being assessed as one of the most intense air strikes observed recently. The Ukrainian side stated that it is utilizing all available means to protect its airspace and repel enemy attacks.
