The Israeli army is expanding its control zone in the Gaza Strip

The Middle East remains one of the most painful points in world community and international politics, and recently, alarming news has been coming from this region again. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
Against the backdrop of long-standing tensions between Israel and Palestine, the situation in the Gaza Strip has taken a new and even sharper turn. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu announced that he had issued an official order to the country's armed forces to penetrate deeper into the interior of the Gaza Strip and significantly expand the area of controlled territories there.
As a result of the devastating war that has been ongoing for two years, the Gaza territory has nearly turned into ruins, and at the same time, a large part of it is under the control of the Israeli army. Despite international peace agreements, the situation in the region is once again escalating, and the main goals on the political scene remain in the focus of public attention.
In October 2025, an important agreement was signed under the mediation of the United States to cease hostilities and conclude peace between the two sides. According to this document, Israeli military units were supposed to halt at the so-called Yellow Line, which marks the boundary of their control.
This map left approximately fifty-three percent of the total area of the Gaza Strip at Israel's disposal, while the remaining part was to remain under the administration of the Palestinian side. However, according to information from influential publications, the Israeli side has unilaterally violated this agreement.
Israeli forces have moved massive concrete blocks marking the border line inward into the territory. Military maps announced in March of this year show that Israel's restricted zone now covers approximately sixty-four percent of Gaza's total land area.
Netanyahu himself has repeatedly stated in public appearances that over sixty percent of the territory is now in their hands. In his speeches, he emphasized that the primary goal is to bring seventy percent of the territory under control and that these actions will continue.
According to analysts, personal political interests also lie behind this increase in audacity in Gaza. Difficult elections are expected in Israel by the end of the year, and the government leader is attempting to divert domestic public attention from internal problems through these military measures.
At the same time, the Israeli government is demonstrating that it has no intention of changing its military strategy despite pressure from the international community. This further complicates the process of establishing peace in the region and contributes to the growth of humanitarian losses.
Such a development of the situation continues to pose a serious threat not only to the region but also to global security.
