Reports are circulating that a draft 60-day memorandum of mutual understanding has been developed between representatives of the United States and Iran to ensure regional stability and revitalize negotiations on the nuclear program. This was reported by Zamin.uz.

According to the Axios publication, citing high-ranking American officials and sources closely familiar with the process, the parties have reached a general agreement on the most important terms of the document. This document is being viewed as a serious step toward easing the tensions observed between the two countries in recent years.

According to this draft agreement, the safety and free movement of commercial ships passing through the Strait of Hormuz will be guaranteed. One of the main conditions is that ships should not be unlawfully detained and should pass without various obstacles and unjustified duties.

Additionally, the Iranian side is expected to undertake the obligation to clear this critical sea route of mines and bring it to a safe state within one month. This measure will serve to restore stability on international trade routes.

The document also envisions a number of tasks for the US. In particular, Washington must consider the gradual release of Iran's frozen financial assets in international banks and the easing of current economic restrictions.

Furthermore, the project includes the establishment of a special economic mechanism to ensure the delivery of necessary humanitarian aid to the Iranian people. This could help alleviate difficulties in the social sphere.

Despite this, the document does not yet have official status. Axios notes that neither US President Donald Trump nor the senior leadership of Iran has officially approved the draft memorandum so far.

While the technical aspects of the agreement are ready, its implementation remains directly dependent on the political will and final decision of the leaders of both countries. Political analysts consider this process to be very delicate and a situation that could change at any time.

Recently, Donald Trump stated that work on a peace treaty was nearly complete. Iranian officials, in turn, confirmed that dialogue between negotiators is ongoing.

However, the negotiation process is not going smoothly. Trump has expressed dissatisfaction with some issues, hinting that if an agreement is not reached, the situation could escalate further and even military measures could be taken.

This demonstrates the complex environment in which the diplomatic dialogues are taking place. In conclusion, this memorandum, envisioning a 60-day period, is a unique window of opportunity to stabilize the situation in the Middle East.

If the parties sign this agreement, it could take nuclear negotiations to a new stage. For now, everything is a plan on paper, and for it to turn into real peace, the parties are required to restore mutual trust and take decisive steps.

The international community is closely monitoring this process.
